Payment FAQs
Cost will depend on the type of Outpatient treatment needed. We offer several Outpatient services with a range of various costs. Cost will be explained upon Initial Intake. Most Outpatient services will be covered by Health Insurance. Our facility also offers Sliding Scale Fees and Grants (ATR) for eligible clients who qualify.
2) Does ACER accept Insurance for drug and alcohol treatment?
Yes. ACER is in network with many major insurance companies including Aetna, BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, United Healthcare, as well as several others. Our Business Office will call your Insurance Company to receive your benefits for all Outpatients services you may need provided by our Facility. Â Â Our Billing Office has an understanding of both in-network and out-of-network benefits, and will work closely with insurance companies to streamline the process and ensure that our clients receive the maximum benefit available.
3) What if I cannot afford treatment?
Our Business Office will provide clients with several options for payment of their treatment. You will meet with the Business Office Manager to discuss your financial status and then go through your payment options. e.g. Sliding Scale Fees and Grants (ATR)
4) What is Access to Recovery (ATR)?
Access to Recovery is a government grant program that provides payment for substance abuse treatment to certain individuals who meet the requirements. The goal of this program is to increase the availability of substance abuse treatment services to populations who are unable to afford those services.
5) How do I qualify for ATR?
- The individual’s current income
- Having a valid Louisiana Driver’s License or Identification Card
- Having a valid Social Security Card
- Insurance clients must bring their Driver’s License or State ID as well as their Insurance Card.
- Private Pay clients must bring a valid proof of ID, such as a Driver’s License or State ID.
- Access to Recovery (ATR) clients must bring valid proof of ID, Social Security Card, and a notarized copy of the Fee Determination Form.
