Services
(Additional services such as grief, PTSD, sexual abuse, relationship, parenting, and mental health counseling are available upon request.)

Chemical Dependency Assessment
One of our primary purposes is to determine the presence of addiction in whatever form it may manifest. Various methods are used to take appropriate recommendations and evaluations including a face to face interview with a trained professional. Evaluations may be used for agencies that require a formalized report.

Inpatient Referral
ACER can provide assessment and referral services to those clients who are in need of a higher level of care. It is our goal to facilitate individuals in receiving the most effective treatment that they require to deal with their difficulties.

Ambulatory Outpatient Detox
A medically supervised outpatient detoxification from any type of Opiate, (Methadone, Oxycontin, and all Hydrocodone and Hydromorphone compounds). We accomplish complete abstinence in 4-7 days from these substances with the use of Suboxone. The detox must accompany some type of outpatient treatment to insure continued abstinence. For more information visit www.suboxone.com.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
This is our primary level of treatment designed for persons with addiction challenges. Our 8 week IOP includes group therapy, family therapy, individual counseling, random drug screens and extended care through the person’s one year anniversary. The content incorporates education, accountability, 12-step recovery principals and spiritual connection.

Individual Therapy
Some clients may need individual counseling for addiction or another condition that is interfering with their life. Individual counseling is with a trained therapist and normally meet weekly.

Family Counseling
Services detailed for an assessment and evaluation are often done in a crisis condition. We offer interventional counseling for the family and the potential client to facilitate resolution of a decision. An intervention for immediate chemical dependency treatment or facilitation of clear and definite boundaries clarify the presence of an addiction. If an addiction is present then a referral would be made to the appropriate level of care.

Aftercare/Recovery Maintenance Groups
Recovery is not about a one-time treatment opportunity, it is an ongoing process that is adjusted for an individual's recovery needs. Research shows that those who actively engage in continuing care over longer periods of time have increased rates of recovery. ACER offers weekly aftercare groups to provide this continuum of care for up to one year following program completion. Those who stay connected to recovery resources have a better chance at maintaining long-term sobriety.

Drug Screening
ACER provides random drug screens to individuals when appropriate.

Anger Management Groups
A 12 week program that assists individuals on understanding anger, teaching options to manage anger and teaches assertive communication skills.

Addiction Education Program
Based on an assessment or referral we offer basic addiction education in groups or individually. We provide education for court ordered individuals, such as DWI cases, as well as employer requirements. We also offer outreach educational programs for the community or employers.

Medication Maintenance Group
The purpose of this program is to assist persons with chronic pain, reduce their reliance on medical professionals, and to improve their quality of life. Goals for clients in this program include: improved self-management of chronic pain, identification of pain triggers as well as warning signs of medication abuse/misuse, improved interpersonal relationships and reduction or elimination of narcotic pain medication if possible.

Mood Management Group
This is a therapeutic group focused on dealing with the difficulties of Bipolar Disorder and how individuals can effectively manage the emotional and behavioral symptoms that result from the disorder.
